LDB began operations with nine employees and a paid-up capital of P1.0M. In 1975, the name Laguna Development Bank was changed to Luzon Development Bank when it decided to expand beyond the Laguna province. The old name was too limited for the vision of the Board who saw the growth of the bank beyond Laguna to a wider area of Luzon. To date, the Bank has expended to 34 branches in the developing CALABARZON Area. An area the Bank has committed to serve. The current developments in the financial community have marked the strengths of LDB which are expected to shield it from the prevailing crisis. LDB is one of the thrift banks which are way beyond the minimum P64M capitalization requirement of BSP, making it CALABARZON’s Biggest. Its stockholders and officers are conservative bankers and its management team is composed of knowledgeable bankers with long years of banking experience and integrity. Having this competitive advantage, Luzon Development Bank has maintained its position in Regional Banking. To sustain this, LDB continues to upgrade its facilities as it focuses on product innovation, effective management, intensive human resources development & personalized costumer service.
